We organized a research workshop titled “Designing a Social Robot for Mental Health Support” during the AccessComputing OurCS event.

In this workshop, the participants learned about basic interaction design methods such as brainstorming, bodystorming, storyboarding, paper prototyping, and Wizard-of-Oz prototyping. These methods were practiced in the design of a social robot for mental health support.

The participants identified a need in mental health related with journaling, and designed three different versions of a journaling robot using the aforementioned techniques and tools developed in the Human-Centered Robotics lab.
